- Guy Parsons Building a business on free and the music-industrial complex – Another excellent talk/essay from Guy. “This is the essay of a keynote I presented at the CIDA / Musictank event called Building A Business On Free”
- Amina on Flickr – Rachel and I enjoyed a lovely autumnal walk in the woods with Andy Piper and his missus this weekend. Andy got a lovely photo of Amina.
- Jaffe Juice: Top 10 Reasons why Marketers hate Second Life (but really just hate themselves) – Jaffe: “here are my top 10 reasons why some (not all) marketers either don’t get Second Life or don’t want to get it.” Some great stuff here.
- Urban legends in games – Aleks Krotoski on Urban legends in games. I have used the Club Penguin iceberg example a few times recently (perhaps having heard it via Guy Parsons?)
- Dogear Nation – Episode 30 – Are the Leopard?s Spots Real? – Michael, Michael, and Matt welcome Andy Piper to talk about the UK launch of the iPhone and his experiences with Leopard. They also talk about identify management across corporate and social spaces, Creative Commons, Social Media, and is Leopard Beta
- StupidFilter – “An open-source filter software that can detect rampant stupidity in written English. This will be accomplished with weighted Bayesian analysis and some rules-based processing, similar to spam detection engines.”
