50 years of LEGO

Boxes (stacked) with notes

The custom Google header image tells me that LEGO turns 50 today.

I’m a huge LEGO geek (that’s my collection on the left), and to celebrate the milestone I thought I’d share a custom LEGO creation of mine from 2005, ‘Luke Learning the Force’.

  2. Wow, I probably only had one of the large tubs worth of lego when I was a kid!!!

I still like the simple blocks (more of a challenge!) but lego just keeps getting better- I was very jealous of my brother who had to ‘play’ with lego for a robotics course at uni a few years ago!

  3. Talking of Robotics – it is the First Lego League UK final this weekend in Birmingham and Microsoft will be presenting the Trophy for the best Robot Design made out of Lego.

If you want to find out more – go to http://www.firsthandtechnology.org.uk

We got to do a dummy run at work to build the lego city – what a fun lunch hour!
