I sort of miss the pigeons
Posted by Roo - 09/07/09 at 11:07:48 pmVisiting Trafalgar Square still brings back childhood memories of feeding the birds. Fifty pence (I think) for a spray-can-lid full of seed, rather than the more traditional tuppence a bag.
Filthy winged rats they may be, but I can’t help feeling sorry for the children who don’t get to experience that terrifying thrill of finding themselves surrounded by a sea of pigeons.

I think Banksy should be commissioned to stencil some pigeons at random points around the square – though doesn’t fix the problem of not being able to feed them.

Was a great experience as a child, getting the pigeon crap out of your clothes though, wasn’t.
