		<description>Nice post and some intriguing collections. I do wonder about the habit of creative people to collect things which might inspire them in some way, and the odder the collection the better!

Personally, my collections all tend to be fairly normal I guess - books, comics, videogames, music, films - and are slowly being replaced by digital formats, so the public sharing online becomes more important as it replaces people browsing shelves when they visit my house...</description>

There&#039;s nothing as calming as the time I spend collecting and arranging the collectables and planning the next collection (even if I only get as far as identifying the many parts of my would-be collection online).  Andrea&#039;s Vimeo recommendation is well worth a view....</description>

I think collections are nice; did you see that video of an American man who collected random things and opened his house up to visitors just to come in and look at it/take stuff/add new things? It&#039;s lovely.
