I’m not very good, but having shared a some of my early creations with some friends and having had a largely positive response, maybe it’s time to tell a wider audience.

So far there are two songs you might want to listen to.

I’d love to say that I made them from scratch, but I didn’t. To create these tracks I actually used a great many samples downloaded from the amazing Freesound Project, supplied by other people. Each sample was released under the Creative Commons Sampling Plus 1.0 license, and I in turn distribute my tracks under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 license; you are free to share and remix them if you wish, providing you credit me as the creator, and keep in tact the attribution of the samples I’ve used.

Fun fact: the recent film Children of Men also used a sample shared on Freesound. For proof, look for the attribution of “male thijs loud scream sample” in this screengrab of the closing credits. Nice.
